About the Business
SE-Computers was started by a young ambitious man called Chris Bignell originally in 2002 directly after finishing school with extremely poor GCSE results. After a short while unemployed he decided to start his own business in computing. There was one problem, and that was with funding, so he decided to look for part-time work. Chris was out of work for 4 months and finally got offered part-time work at Gardenware in Morley's garden centre (to which he still works here, funding his work).
Chris realised his previous mistakes he made at school and used his youth to try to turn his mistakes around, so in 2003 he applied, at then South East Essex College to do a course and got offered a place on a full-time Level 1 GNVQ course in ICT where he managed to achieve a Distinction grade, equivalent to 3x C's (GCSE). In 2004 Chris then progressed on to do a BFD course, again in ICT but specialised in the Networking Pathway achieving a D* equivalent to 3x A*'s (GCSE).
